Elite's Live and Let Die movie tie-in game began life as a generic boat chase/escape simulator that was later re-branded to capitalise on the cache of the 1973 James Bond movie when Domark acquired the conversion rights, semi-vintage as it already was by this stage in 1988. Play it for five minutes and this becomes glaringly apparent since only the bare minimum was changed to fool the audience into parting with their cash. Refer to the box and title screen.
With five solid minutes worth of experience under Q's gadget belt (or am confusing Bond with Batman?), you will have seen everything it has to offer, giving me ample opportunity to take a look at the much more interesting movie, featuring voodoo priests and rituals, sacrificial killings, a coffin writhing with intertwined snakes, a coerced, manipulative sex scene that isn't quite rape, yet is highly creepy, uncomfortably suspect and misjudged regardless, and high-velocity boat and double-decker bus chases! I think we can pull this one back from the brink if you'll just grab the wheel while I take out the henchman goons on my tail.
