Give My Regards to Broad Street. That's not a personal request from me, it's the name of Paul McCartney's musical drama megaflop movie named after a defunct London railway station. Released in 1984 to an underwhelmed frog chorus, written, sung and acted by Paul McCartney as himself, it revolves around a fictional day in the life of none other than Paul McCartney. If you think I'm making this up as I go along, you also won't believe me when I claim that an accompanying, officially licensed video game was published in 1985 for the Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum. Assuming I'm not dreaming this, it's a top-down driving simulator in which we - assuming the role of former Beatle and pop superstar, Paul McCartney - are tasked with rounding up seven band members in order to re-record the headlining single from their latest (unreleased) album. Following the events of the movie, Paul's misplaced master tapes are recovered, all except for 'No More Lonely Nights', which explains the desperate rush to return to Abbey Road Studios before the deadline set by our financial backer expires.
