Gizbow

After the lengths to which Billy and Kate went to rid Kingston Falls of gnarled, pernicious critters in Gremlins, surely there's absolutely no chance the authorities could allow another invasion to take hold. Rest assured, their home town is perfectly safe. This time the outbreak is centred around New York where the couple now live and work. Six years on from the inconceivable events of the first film, Mr Wing passes away, allowing Donald Trump parody, Daniel Clamp, to bulldoze his boutique of antiquities to make way for a highrise, state of the art skyscraper complex. Consequently, Gizmo is kidnapped and relocated to a lab to be poked and prodded like a pig of the guinea variety. That is until Billy - also stationed in Clamp Towers - serendipitously stumbles across his furry old pal, emancipating the endearing little furball, much to his relief. Ironically, now under his nurturing supervision, Gizmo accidentally gets wet and, well... you know where that leads.

Also released in 1990 was the accompanying, multi-system video game courtesy of Motivetime; a very basic, scrolling action-platformer in which we take on the role of Billy in his mission to exterminate the latest knobbly green scourge. Appropriately it's ludicrously difficult despite the provision of a selection of lethal weaponry.
